Cote – Casi cinco años esperando 💔 Cote llegó a la perrera de Los Barrios en septiembre de 2020, y tenía unos 4 años en ese momento. Es un American Staffordshire Terrier que, presumiblemente, fue abandonado en la calle y llevado a la perrera. Cote es un perro grande y feliz — no se da cuenta de lo grande que es cuando salta con alegría 😊. Le encanta la gente, adora la atención y los mimos. Cuando alguien se acerca a su jaula, no puede quedarse quieto; se emociona muchísimo pensando que le van a dar una golosina o, tal vez, dejarlo salir a estirar las patas. Camina muy bien con correa y no parece alterarse por coches, personas ni perros que pasan durante los paseos. Pero vivir encerrado en una jaula más de 23 horas al día le estaba pasando factura. Su piel se deterioró gravemente, probablemente debido al estrés, la humedad y el calor extremo de la perrera. Llegó al punto de perder casi todo el pelo y su cara quedó en carne viva. Estaba sufriendo. Por suerte, gracias a la generosidad de algunas personas maravillosas, se recaudó dinero para que Cote pudiera ser trasladado a una residencia privada en 2022. Allí hay menos estrés, más interacción con personas y un entorno un poco más amable. Su piel se ha recuperado por completo y se encuentra mucho mejor físicamente… pero sigue viviendo en una jaula, sin conocer el calor de un hogar. Sus cuidadores nos cuentan que es un perro muy bueno, obediente y cariñoso. Le encanta estar con las personas, disfrutar de caricias, y salir a pasear. Con hembras se lleva bien y convive con ellas sin problema; con machos es selectivo. Lo ideal sería que fuera perro único o que conviviera con una hembra tranquila, al menos al principio, hasta que se adapte. Ahora, en 2025, Cote lleva casi cinco años esperando. Cinco años viendo la vida pasar desde detrás de unas rejas. Cinco años sin un hogar, sin una familia, sin una cama donde descansar sintiéndose seguro y querido. ¿Podrías ser tú esa persona que cambie su destino? 🙏 Si no puedes adoptarlo, por favor comparte su historia. En algún lugar hay alguien para él. Solo tenemos que encontrarle. 📌 Cinco años en una jaula es demasiado tiempo para cualquier ser vivo.
